DIAMOND HEAD Singer To Sit Out U.S. Tour; CHAS WEST To Fill In

"DIAMOND HEAD wish to send [singer] Nick Tart and his family their sincere condolences on the untimely death of his father. As a result of this, Nick will be flying home to Brisbane to be with his family and, unfortunately, has had to withdraw from DIAMOND HEAD's upcoming U.S. tour in October.
"In order to maintain their commitment to their fans and the tour, DIAMOND HEAD have called upon vocalist Chas West (JASON BONHAM, LYNCH MOB, TRIBE OF GYPSIES) who has been a longtime friend of the band to help out for this tour. DIAMOND HEAD are delighted to have Chas be part of this upcoming tour, which kicks off in Vancouver on October 8th."

DIAMOND HEAD is touring to support its latest Universal compilation titled "Am I Evil: The Best Of Diamond Head".
"DIAMOND HEAD is excited to be returning to the United States for a full West Coast tour," says DIAMOND HEAD guitarist Brian Tatler. "Joining the band with an opening support slot will be fellow British rockers RAVEN."
DIAMOND HEAD has also revealed that this leg of the tour will feature the classic songs that fans have come to know and love, with a different set of songs to accompany them than performed on the previous U.S. East Coast leg of the tour. With Chas West singing, anything is possible.
For the first time in its four-decade history, DIAMOND HEAD made its way stateside for a U.S. tour in the summer of 2011.
DIAMOND HEAD's first-ever appearance with the "Big Four" (METALLICA, SLAYER, ANTHRAX and MEGADETH),the artists on whom they had a major influence, in July 2011 at the Sonisphere festivals in the U.K. and France, was followed by their first performances in Canada, playing with MOTÖRHEAD, and MEGADETH at the Heavy TO festival in Toronto, along with an appearance with GIRLSCHOOL, MOTÖRHEAD and KISS, at the Heavy MTL festival in Montreal.
